Genmaicha is a blend of Japanese sencha and brown rice. The aroma from the brown rice mixes with the fresh taste and umami from sencha, making it a recommended drink for any occasion, both with food or when you want to take a break. The tea is brewed at approximately 80 degrees and the tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. From Horii Shichimeien you get a classic Japanese everyday tea in the luxury class.
Horii Shichimeien, founded in 1879, still manage the 600-year-old Okunuoyama Tea Garden in Uji, Kyoto. This garden is the only survivor of 7 historic tea gardens in Kyoto.
