Milky Oolong is a golden tea that is clearly related to the green teas, but has a sweeter taste. A traditional Chinese tea with beautiful long dark leaves. Milky oolong has a soft and round taste with a distinct note of milk, but the tea has nothing to do with milk.

Oolong is a semi-oxidized tea.

The leaves have a short time during processing. started an oxidation process which has been interrupted by drying to preserve the properties and bright color of the green tea. The leaves oxidize in the sun, which produces an endearing taste experience. The oolong teas are always whole leaves and originate mainly from Taiwan and China.

Preparation

Milky oolong is brewed in a small preheated teapot. Be careful not to use too much tea.

The water must not boil for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.

Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.

Pour the leaves with 80-85 degree warm water.

Infusion time: 3 – 4 minutes.

The leaves can be used 2 – 3 times.

Tips

If you only brew one cup / glass at a time, you can use a cup or "fill-it-yourself" teabags, where the leaves can float freely and thereby give off the fine aroma. When using copy or "fill-yourself" teabags can also be brewed on the leaves again.

By small pot is meant possibly Japanese tokoname teapot with internal strainer. The advantage of the small jug is that you brew 1-2 cups at a time, after which you add more tempered water when you are ready for the next cup. In this way, you utilize the potential of the leaves by brewing several times, and you get the experience of a fresh cup of tea.

Store dry and cool.
