Organic China Leaf Oolong Shui Xian

China Leaf Oolong is a dark oolong tea in the "yancha style".

Yancha means rock tea in Chinese, i.e. tea bushes that grow on rocks. These teas have a slightly sweet round full flavor with notes of dried fruit, tobacco and mineral aftertaste.

Oolong is a semi-oxidized tea, i.e. something in between a green and a black tea. During processing, the leaves have briefly begun an oxidation process, which has been interrupted by drying in order to preserve the properties and bright color of the green tea. The leaves oxidize in the sun, which produces an endearing taste experience. The oolong teas are always whole leaves and mainly originate from Taiwan and China.
