Sencha Shuppin 2024 “Exhibition Tea”

This tea is from Yame in Japan and is produced by the family business Hoshino Seicha which has produced tea since 1946.
 Once a year, tea producers from all over Japan meet to exchange experiences and showcase their very best teas at Japan Exhibition where the teas are evaluated.
Sencha Shuppin  is an exhibition tea which means that it has been developed to show the best of  Hoshino seicha and is therefore of the absolute best quality.
The tea here is a excellent example of that experience and unique production methods Hoshino Seicha possesses.
The tea has a fine blue-green color in the cup, the texture is as soft as silk and the taste is elegant with notes of young green leaves, new vegetables and umami.
