Shincha Tokujo

Marukyu Koyamaen's Tokujo Shincha (特上新茶) is one of their highest-grade seasonal loose-leaf green teas—a premium shincha (new tea), harvested during the first flush of spring in Uji, Kyoto. Available for only a short period each year and produced in very limited quantities, it captures the freshness and vitality of the new tea season.

Marukyu Koyamaen was also the very first Japanese tea producer to supply Sing Tehus when we opened in 2006. For more than two decades, our close relationship has given us the privilege of sharing some of Japan's finest teas and traditions with our customers. Each year's shincha is a reminder of that enduring partnership and of the excitement that follows the arrival of the season's very first harvest.
