Tamakawa is a Sencha Yabukita cultivar from the Tamakawa area of Shizouka Prefecture, Japan. 
This cultivar is prized for its balanced flavor profile, which combines sweetness, umami (flavor) and a hint of astringency.
The tea has a soft and refreshing taste with a pleasant vegetable aroma

Tamakawa is part of Sing Tehu's special blend Hokkyokusei which consists of 5 cultivars. Hokkyokusei is a gift to Sing Tehus from tea master Yuta Hiraoka, who has the highest level of tea blending in Japan.
