Wakoucha Pine Needle - Obubu, Black Tea

This Japanese black tea (Wa-koucha) is a special needle-like Japanese black tea. 
It has a slightly spicy flavour and underlying notes of molasses. The tea has a beautiful copper color with a lingering aroma of a freshly cut watermelon. 
In production, it has been rolled like Sencha, resulting in unique needle-shaped tea leaves.
Pine Needle Wakoucha is a rare and wonderful tea, from Obubu Tea Farms in Kyoto.
