For over 500 years, the Japanese Tea Ceremony has embodied simplicity, the beauty of imperfection, and a deep connection to nature. This evening, we invite you to cultivate your own tea ritual—creating a grounding space to reconnect with yourself.
Marcus Udsen Grandjean, a trained human physiologist, has spent over a decade practicing Zen Buddhism and studying the philosophy of tea. With extensive experience leading tea rituals, retreats, and meditation talks, he will guide you through integrating elements of the formal Japanese and Chinese tea ceremonies into your daily life.
Through an insightful introduction to tea, meditation, and the power of ritual, Marcus will share how these traditions can bring mindfulness and intention to modern living. As part of the experience, you’ll also enjoy be served a selection of teas cherished by Zen Buddhists in Japan and China for centuries.
Join us for an evening of reflection, connection, and the opportunity to craft your own meaningful tea practice. We look forward to welcoming you.
